When Peg.. well  "POP 's".. as we all called him, passed on in ' 09 he handed the recipe down to Grandma Marge and I. Some of the ingredients became hard to find so we did a little re-formulation of the recipe and it gained "Uncle" Martin's approval... it had to ... because ... "POP 's"  and "Uncle" Martin have been very close friends since they were young... so we promised him we would continue to make it for everyone to enjoy.

After the passing of Grandma Marge I asked the only one I knew that has ate Grandma Marge's Old Fashioned Hot Mustard longer than anyone else on the planet for recipes..."Uncle" Martin... ..this is a quote.."I don't care what the other people say.. I really do eat that stuff on everything...try it."....he's 87...   `here are some of the things he said.`

  • Fried Bologna..Soup Beans..
  • Bratwurst..Hamburgers..Hot dogs..
  • Deviled Eggs..Any cold cut sandwich..etc..seriously try it on everything... 




One dozen large hard boiled eggs
Grandma Marge's Old Fashioned Hot Mustard

Ground red pepper 

  • Cut eggs in half lengthwise and remove yolks into separate bowl
  • Combine yolks and 6 to 8 oz. of Grandma Marge's Old Fashioned Hot Mustard
  • Spoon yolk mixture into boiled egg halves and arrange on serving dish
  • Sprinkle with a dash of ground red pepper over each egg 
  • Serve chilled.....enjoy 

  ~If mixture is to thick add a little more Grandma Marge's Old Fashioned Hot Mustard to the mix~

Jumbo shrimp ~ peeled & deveined

Grandma Marge's Old Fashioned Hot Mustard 

Chesapeake Bay Seasoning ~optional~

  • Place shrimp on skewers
  • ​Rub Grandma Marge's Old Fashioned Hot Mustard on the Jumbo Shrimp
  • Place on medium-hot grill 
  • Sprinkle with Chesapeake Bay Seasoning...optional

Grill 8 to 12 min. med. heat turning once
